Cisco hardware can be purchased at ridiculous prices nowadays.
A CCNA Lab can cost as little as £99.00 which may include 2 or 3
Cisco Routers, typically 2911's. Also included in the Lab one Cisco
Switch, typically 2950. You may find prices as high as £300 for the
Labs, but do look around.
Try and get 16MB of DRAM in the Routers as this will allow for the latest IOS
You'll need the latest IOS to run SSH (Secure Shell) Labs

I have 5 x 2911 Cisco routers and 3 x 2600 switches. Plenty to do quite complicated routing and also intervlan's and trunking/STP labs. Some very cheap kit on EBay for instance but watch out for bogus kit. Some of the kit is made in the Far East and is far, far inferior. In fact I heard that someone sadly boughta BIG lab for $700 and it was all bogus.

3 router ans 2 switches minimum. Latest ios and 16 meg DRAM in the routers. Don't pay more than $200 for the above. Watch for bogus kit and buy from EBay recommended sellers. Don't buy anything you're not sure about.
